There is a Facebook movie in the works.
I don't know why it caught me as off-guard as it did. Surely this isn't that surprising, given the growing popularity, functionality and importance of these social networking sites to 21st century relationships. After all, we've already had a MySpace online movie and a Craigslist documentary. This is different, though, because the man behind it is The West Wing creator (and my personal messiah) Aaron Sorkin.

Joplin, Missouri’s new concert hall The Foundry is labeled as a family friendly venue. That means that smoking and alcohol are forbidden, and coarse language is frowned upon. And in the case of the show that I recently attended, it also means that it’s frequented mostly by junior high kids. It is quite possible though that it was the artists that I decided to see that night that was the primary cause for me being the oldest person in the club. I should have known I suppose. Though I’d never really heard of the night’s headliner Meg & Dia, I soon found out that a good majority of 15 year old girls have.

We here at JPP pride ourselves in not taking sides in political matters in our news stories. Though I'm sure all our staff members have a wealth of opinions on the subject, the last thing you need is another pro-liberal or pro-conservative news source shoving political opinions down your throat.
With that being said, when the soulful r&b singer John Legend took the stage last night in support of Barack Obama, this was a political news story I just had to share.

Las Vegas' controversial indie rockers, The Killers, have recently revealed the title of their upcoming third studio album. According to NME, the new album will be called Day and Age and should drop on Novemeber of this year.
According to an interview with frontman Brandon Flowers, the band is currently in the studio finishing up the disc.

Post-hardcore icon Geoff Rickly, of Thursday fame, has apparently been spending his time as of late on a side project band going by the name United Nations. According to a recent interview, United Nations consists of Rickly and a group of other, anonymous musicians who can not reveal their names due to being under contract with different record labels. Oddly enough, this is not even the strangest thing I'm about to share with you about this new band.
