I love sequels. But not when it comes to this movie. I always wonder how Hollywood is going to take a great movie and ruin it. The Transporter 2 was no exception to the golden Hollywood rule. That isn\'t to say this movie wasn\'t entertaining. Just check your common sense at the door, and start believing in unicorns.

So the movie starts off promising and my hopes were high. The Transporter has a brand new Audi and we get to examine it up close and personal. He foils a high jacking, and off we go. From there the movie starts to go sideways, it took a whole ten minutes to realize Hollywood had made another cookie cutter sequel.

I would talk about the plot but there was no plot. Everything was just another excuse to set up a fight scene. Now some of you are saying, “it\'s an action movie”, yeah, it\'s an action movie with no real plot. Sure there was a reason for events to happen, but if you’re expecting anything believable be prepared for a huge disappointment.

Now the transporter character is still there, but he\'s given super human driving skills & the ability to dodge bullets. What made the first transporter so enjoyable was how real of a character Frank was. Watching him drive was awesome, the original movie made me believe that I could drive like that with enough practice. He had everything calculated, he was cool and he was quick. The driving (chase) sequences in the sequel are way too over the top; nothing like the original.

What about Frank\'s cute little Asian girlfriend? No where to be seen. Cruel, but forgivable. We are instead given a M.I.L.F. and a psychotic assassin who walks around in lingerie. Where would we be with out the M.I.L.F.\'s in the world? And psycho girls who can kick ass and love to be naked... they could have made a movie just about that. I\'d watch it. The psycho girl (Played by Kate Nauta) was probably the most entertaining character in the movie and was the saving grace. I hope to see more of Kate Nauta real soon.

Now what about the fight scenes? They must have been worth it, right? Wrong. They were cool, if Jason Statham wanted to impersonate Jackie Chan. I don\'t know if that\'s what the creators were going for, but there is a fight scene with a fire hose that I swear is stolen right out of a Jackie Chan movie. Not to knock Jackie, the man is an artist, but if someone wants to see a Jackie Chan movie, they usually look for him to star in it.

Overall this movie wasn\'t worth the money to see in the theater. Do it anyway. Why would we see a movie that\'s not that good? So they make a third one. I know Hollywood has it in them to make a good sequel. And the Transporter character is awesome. If they go back to realistic driving and fighting, and put in a storyline, they would have a box office smash. To see Transporter 2 fall flat on it\'s face is such a disappointment. Hollywood needs to redeem themselves by doing a proper sequel with Transporter 3.

You said it best when you said "cookie cutter sequel" I think i got as much enjoyment from the overpriced popcorn as I did from this movie. It was fun to watch things blow up that is about it.
