Very rarely these days have I said how proud I am of hip-hop. Very rarely does a news story fall into my lap that makes me take absolute pause, and miss my movie time to see Hancock, But my god, this almost brought a tear to my eye. Jay-Z, with much controversy headlined Glastonbury, which is the UK's biggest summer rock fest. It's typically headlined by over-the-pond acts like Radiohead, Muse, and Oasis. So naturally there was some outcry of a rapper performing. Oasis front man Noel Gallagher was the most vocal stating Now personally I would have hit him in the face, But Jay-z took the highroad, and said nothing negative of Gallagher. That's not to say the comment went unnoticed. Jigga began his performance by taking the stage, dressed as the Oasis front man, and singing one of Oasis's biggest hits, Wonderwall. He also had some video footage parodying Noel's nasty words running behind him. 140,000 plus fans laughed and sang along, and then were absolutely rocked by Jay-z's set. I think someone owes someone else an apology. I also think someone got clowned in front of 100,000 people. Check the video, I can only hope you smile like I did. Oh, and please keep in mind, he did it for laughs; He wasn't really trying to sing.

To all the Jigga haters this is why this man is at the top of the game right now. I aint never even heard of this concert before today. Who else could have done what Hova did in hip hop today huh? We talking about an MC getting top billin at a rock fest. He gets hated on by ole boy. What does he do flip one of his song on him. Then shows the reach of his music by playing a rock set. Which isn't new cause he has dapped in that before. As a result he shows why he was there and serves notice. Now the front man is a fan and both of there songs are back. Tell me who else in the hip hop game could have done the same? I mean 99 problems back in the top 30 in England!! How long has that been out? Heads over there are coping albums and wanting to know more. As usual the Jigga man is doing his thing. |

Gallagher is an absolute wanker. He's a prick in every sense of the word and I applaude Jay-Z's perfomance. |

Here here. You know, I've always disliked most rap, but this is a punch in the face of a*shole. Much love, Jigga-dear. |
