The band's debut album is due out in the States on September 30th, and the group hopes the disc will help to propel them into the American conscious. Welcome to Goon Island will be the band's first full length LP. The album was released in the UK on June 28th to relatively positive reviews. The song "Darlin'" which is featured on the album, was included as one of NME's songs of the year last year, calling it a "A berserk swamp-rock thriller… scary and brilliant." Recently the band released the Darlin' EP which includes the original cut of the song of the same name as well as two remixed versions of the track. Be sure to check back with us soon when we post our review for XX Teens' Welcome to Goon Island. In the mean time, check out the video for "Darlin'" posted below.

The XX Teens may sound a little, well dirty, if you judge the band by their name alone, but the Teens' sound is far from gritty or raunchy. Instead, the Teens, who were formerly known as the Xerox Teens before being forced to change their name, summon up a terrific indie rock sound full of welcome surprises.
